But the Saudis got in fine, because we have an open door and a welcome mat for Saudis I will give you an example that is even worse. Everyone has seen the TV show of the guy who goes into the "O" Club at Pearl on Dec 6th, walks up to Kimmel, and says, "guess what?" But what if you had guessed what Osama was up to? The modern day equivalent of the Pearl "O" club is "Elaines," a New York City Restaurant. Every Monday night, from about 9pm until closing, the front tables are reserved for the top Intel people in the FBI, Police, CIA, etc, who are in the area. They get together to socialize and exchange ideas. If you had walked into Elaines on Monday, Sep 10th, 2001, and said, "guess what?" What would have happened if they had believed you might be right? Do you think they could have called and stopped the Terrorists from getting on the planes in the morning? Not a chance! "Profile Arabs on the chance that you are correct? Are you crazy? The ACLU would file lawsuits against us that would curl your hair! Teddy would be on the floor of the Senate screaming! Hey, we will have to think about what we should do." And we still officially have the same attitude today. Although I think we are not honoring it, thank God. "PC" CAN KILL!
