There are means for these investors to hedge currencies while participating in a robust US stock market. As for bonds, it is true there will need to be a US interest rate rise to hold those funds, even when hedged. My belief is, and Hormatz from GS just said the same thing on cnbc, that these asian nations, perhaps eu too, will have to lower their own rates to be stimulative domestically to offset higher costs of exports. Very confusing but net, net a good thing for the US. World seems to be making a bet on that american engine being necessary to lead the world out of the current funk. mike
