Dolinar all with measure <GG> Germany just experienced a positive change when IG Metal backed off from their unrealistic demands.

I am pro minimum wage as it supports those that just can not make it but at least will give them a chance to earn a minimum income to pass by. - you work you earn and can provide yourself with food and shelter - it is also dignifying.

I have an friend whose kid had an accident during birth, he is slow intellectually but other wise a considerate, warm, caring, neat, organized and hard working person.

He works in a supermarket and get great satisfaction of what he does and proud that he can earn money. If not for the minimum wage I do not know how he would cope.

The parents do not need his money but the kid is flourishing since he is able to earn a living...... even if it is a low income he has the feeling of achievement.

Charity on the other hand does not encourage work, minimum wage does. Charity has many positive aspects helping society but can not supplant minimum wage.

Rest my case
