No one suggested a ground war in Iraq, based on some "immediate threat".

The inspectors in SA took 2 years, in a friendly regime. It was the start of a several-year inspection routine that was interrupted by Bush's need for a war, for political and profiteering reasons.

Is that hateful? No, it's reasoned criticism.

The suggestion that any criticism of Bush is "hateful" is similar to what fascist regimes have done to quell dissent. The way it works is this:

Step One -- Criticism = Hate, if you criticize the central power, you are being "hateful".

Step Two -- Neutrality is "okay". If you are submissive, you are not being "hateful". If you can't think of anything nice to say, don't say it.

Step Three -- Love your Ruler. If you love your ruler unconditionally, without regard to the facts, you are "Patriotic". All others are "unpatriotic", are enemies of the central state, and must be convinced, rounded up and imprisoned, or killed.
