Maybe someone who claims having lived all his life in the US shouldn't go around pompously mocking others while using the "I'm not an idiot, I've got unconventional syntax" excuse to justify his intellect, or lack of. Maybe not, mike. I'm not sure that he sought to use that error as an "excuse," but if he did, you might be right. Then again, I can only imagine what I must sound like to native speakers of the languages I attempt to engage in conversation. But, would you agree that our friend is confused? Is not he? Like I'd said previously, I don't know. Perhaps, perhaps not. I'm not really in a position to assess that any more than to determine whether in a given post a misspelled word is a typo or, in fact, the poster can't spell. LPS5
