No, on a primal level you prove you are a man by killing enemy, in an age of war when we need a greater smarter warrior to lead us to peace. It's mass psychology, in other words politics. Not as usual though. It's different in 2004 thanks to 9-11.

At the very primary level, men are born to kill and women born to give birth. That is survival stripped bare.
