Steve, I just finished my first IRS audit 2 weeks ago, ironically on the year 2001. When she got to my schedule D, she asked me if I had a record of the trade confirmations from 2001. I did, and as soon as I showed her, she pilled out a list that she already had showing all of my trades to the minute. There would be absolutely no problem finding out who made those unusual trades in the last 1/2 hour on 9/10 2001. The next obvious question is why?
