Not sure if my state is very representative of feelings about the Patriot Act, since we're basically all a bunch of gun totin' anti-government rednecks. The difference here is that liberals pack .38 caliber pistols, and conservatives pack .44 magnums. <g> Last spring the state legislature changed the gun law so it's now legal to carry a concealed weapon without a permit (outside of city limits). Kind of handy in cold weather, since you can now put on a coat without becoming a felon.
