Unfortunately, I hate the title "The French were right". IMO, French have played a despicable role in the whole affair and they do not deserve Kudos for anything that seems to be buttressing their prewar claim.

Is that the same 80% that now doesn't want to see increased defense spending? Support for defense spending is now 30%, a level not seen since 1997.
