"Regardless, I concur with your evaluation of HAUP products; they work well. But I'm not at all sure that the TV/PC interface is really what most consumers want. I tend to think that most still have their PC in one room and their TV in another, and don't use their PC to watch TV. I did for awhile, but found one was a distraction for the other."

I think there are a fair number of consumers who feel this way. When I worked in this space, the trend was that consumers were moving their home PCs into family and livingrooms already, before Media Center PCs. I think the number was 36% of online households have their PCs in a family room. While some of that was for space considerations (apartments, etc.), there was an increase in people moving the PC closer to family.

For those who won't have the PC in the family room, the Hauppage MediaMVP is a product that enables the PC to sit in another room while they can still view/listen to content in other rooms, one reason why I believe it's a step in the right direction. It's also the case that there is real demand for Media Center PCs. If you haven't checked one out yet, you should stop by the local CompUSA or Best Buy (around launch time will probably be a good time).

In any case, I hope things turn around on the stock and you get the boost you've been looking for.

Thanks,
Mike
