Trying to split the axis of weasels, eh? We talked of this awhile ago JJ. The Germans may never align themselves with the US but it is a huge mistake for them not to recognize the fact that the french are using them. The german military is not needed but they can still contribute mightily to the better world. I wish the US could do some of the other non-military chores. There is great risk for the US in the long run in adopting the role as military state. But we have no choice because there are few others willing to fight the war against terror in the trenches. mike
