Oh, there's a history. Briefly, I was correctly chided for lumping too large of a group together; I used terms like 'the far right' and 'Republicans', which does not correctly capture the group I was castigating. It is the neocons, the ones that I believe are truly running (and ruining) the government. Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Rove, and especially Cheney. They've adopted a philosophy and course of action that will be disasterous for America. Those who believe in the neocon tenets of preemptive US internation action, disdain for the UN, and unilateralism without justification, I refer to as neocons. Those who believe in blind obedience and laughingly call THAT patriotism, are neocons. Those who toss away the long held Republican position of fiscal responsibility, one of the most admirable planks of the GOP, like so much refuse, are neocons. Plus, it's shorter than Cyberken's "Marxist/Leninist anti-American left" or Tommy Watson's "PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH" slogans. LOL!
