Democratic candidates tearing country apart

Wednesday September 17, 2003

I would like to thank the news media for all the many remembrances of Sept. 11 on the second anniversary of that tragedy. I had a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes as well as a great sense of pride and gratitude for living in America.

After Sept. 11, our country swelled with patriotism and acts of caring. Now, however, the Democrats seeking office have taken it on themselves to undermine everything that the leaders have done to protect us from having this happen again. We need not fear terrorism from abroad, because we have it right here at home.

As a bunch of whining men pout and point their fingers at anyone and everyone, the country is beginning to think only of the selfish attitude that once had become so commonplace.

I recall President Bush telling us that the battle would be swift, but the war would be long and costly, in both lives and money. Not one of these outspoken Democrats has been able to tell us anything about how he would handle such a disaster in the future, or how he would work to protect our country from such disasters again.

Splitting our country apart is not the answer. Remember, united we stand, divided we fall.

So come on, Democrats, please get on board and offer helpful advice instead of constant criticism.

I pray that the wonderful service men and women are not having to hear all the negative talk about how they are wasting their time and lives and our money trying to straighten out a real mess.

Let them know how very grateful we are for them and their sacrifices, and for the great job they are doing.

LOL--how petty of you...but the thing is, we know better. We know that if the Demolib candidate WAS from Texas, you would be the 1st to vote for him.

The implications of that statement are an amazing ignorance identification event cue. For any person who is a member of the bar it is an idiot identification event cue.

Clark....

.. has tended to put his career ahead of his men to the point of excess," said a defense consultant well acquainted with the Army's senior officers. "He is opportunistic and lacks integrity. He will be an absolute menace if he gets into a position where he can exert influence on the Army because he lacks true vision and is prone to be vindictive."

Clark "regards each and every one of his subordinates as a potential threat to his career," said an officer who served under him when Clark commanded a brigade of the 4th Infantry Division in the 1980s. An officer who served under Clark when he commanded the First Cavalry Division said he was "the poster child for everything that is wrong with the general officer corps."

Clark doesn't get along terribly well with superiors or with allies either, which lead to his premature departure as commander of NATO.
