Please do! That speech today was intended for the US audience, not the UN. Bush knew we had no friends there. He could have looked at the Germans and French and said, "Hey, we got hit, folks, and you didn't. That is why we take a tougher line." But he didn't.

The Euros believe they are out of the line of fire of the terrorists, and can play both ends against the middle. They sure had their way with us during 42's time.

These polls right now are "snap" ones, and reflect the fact that the Repubs are taking a lot of hits, due to the Dems campaigning being reported, without putting a lot back at the Dems.

Wait until March. The Dems will have their candidate picked, and the Repubs will start unloading. They can dump about 100 million into advertising without hardly any response from the Dems. Same thing Clinton did to Dole in 96. Plus the economy and Iraq will be better. Turnaround time!

The AP reported today that the Coalition won't be handing control of the railroad over to Iraqis until February.
