they have been on govt handouts too long saddam handouts and the govt workers are probably viewed as the elite class receiving favors from saddam a good example of where the left wants to go; just listen to their class warfare for starters IMO steve

Only a small fraction of the Iraqis are doing that. But that's enough. If you work for the local power company, you're a repairman, not a soldier, and your job description doesn't include being shot at. It's futile to do anything anyway, since it will simply be destroyed. Remember, the US WAS close to its goal of getting the main oil pipeline working again when the terrorists destroyed it. If the whiners REALLY want to do something for the Iraqis, they should go to Iraq and shoot terrorists. Somehow I doubt they will.
