but minute by minute, things are indeed getting better for nearly everyone. At some stage, things will no doubt get worse for everyone [or almost everyone - it's hard to catch everyone simultaneously]. But in the mean and fun time, why worry? Be happy!

It will take something like a large impact from space to make things simultaneously worse. Or too many people subscribing to Haim's MAD theorem on making things better, "Let's nuke, or otherwise blow up, Jay and all those Chinese who aren't doing something with their economic system". Or sars killing 2% of the world's population in two seasons. Or something new and even more exciting. Such as a worldwide financial and "protectionist" economic implosion into a deflationary black hole with an event horizon up close and personal.

Or, ... well, I can't come up with anything right now to worry about more than that. That's enough anyway.
