Mephisto,

Re: Medea isn't a shrinking violet but she would have been more effective if she wasn't so shrill.

The same has been said about Dennis Kucinich's stage presence. I can understand what you are saying, but I tend to find the populist tendency toward stridency to be acceptable.

And in the specific context of responding to the blatant (albeit calmly presented) lies of an evil man like Richard Perle, I believe a little shrillness in sounding the alarm about the very nature of the neo-con deceits may be justified.

I've been a street protester, a community organizer, a gadfly and a wonk. I greatly admire Medea Benjamin for putting some emotion into her presentation.

Compared to Medea, Perle lived up to his reputation as the "Prince of Darkness". His calm, considered, craven craziness needs to be responded to with alarm.

Perle calls for a Code Pink outting as one of the most evil men on the planet.
