Is this new? Hasn't this retail portal angle been around since the target deal? Amazon has this great feature where you type in something you want like Nike and it returns "most popular" across the multiple stores and those are always the firesale discount prices, its great. Maybe that is what Nike doesn't like- the ease of finding a dirt cheap discount. The problem is that the portals like yahoo are doing it too now, and there is Froogle from Google. Nike can run but they can't hide. All these clothing margins are coming down anyway. Been to Bloomingdales lately? Stuff is getting cheaper for sure.
