I think you already got what you wanted: remaining the only superpower on earth.

I think we got what most Germans and the world wanted, Germany at peace with its neighbors, Europe mostly at peace with eachother, and democratic values being spread to the former Soviet bloc nations.

Huh? So the Cold War was about just what the USA wanted? No, we would prefer is Germany matured and learned to bear its responsibilities in the world. Your nations inability and unwillingness to project force is unacceptable. Not agreeing with the Iraq liberation is one thing, what happens the next time there is a cause your nation supports but you dont have the means?

This is similar to your comment about Iraq. You commented to the extent that Germany was not compelled to support the coalitions efforts because it does not use much Iraqi oil. I trust you know what a fungible commodity is. BTW do you have any idea what your oil cost would be if Kuwait was not liberated of Iraq?
