I got caught in the middle of a post yesterday. Finally gave up, too. SI sure has been unstable lately.

I find surveys fascinating. This particular one asked a lot of questions about would you think the defendant more likely or less likely guilty if this or that. They asked about race and wealth and all sorts of things that had nothing to do, IMO, with the price of tea in China. It's hard to imagine anyone responding that most of those things made a difference and I went through the survey very quickly. The pro bono thing made me think a bit, though, because it could be an indicator that the attorney thought the client innocent. I always look forward to seeing the survey results.

What I was trying to post yesterday when I got shut out was that I had made an error re the guy who was indicted for treason. I had just seen the headline and assumed it was the chaplain when it was actually someone else, a translator. FWIW.
