What other state, for example, would give drivers licenses to illegal aliens?

I read a couple of years ago about NC doing it. I think we discussed it hereabouts. The idea was that, since they're going to drive anyway, we'd be better off if they took the driver's test. There was an op-ed in the Tucson paper just the other day favoring it. Lotsa illegals there.

That will be an interesting case of some other states try to refuse to accept California drivers licenses for driving in their states.

It's hard to imagine that happening. Troopers have better things to worry about. Maybe for commercial vehicles, but then illegals with California licenses wouldn't be eligible to drive for Greyhound anyway. I suppose if someone caused an accident the cops could throw in the added charge of driving without a valid license, but then why bother? Just stirring up Full Faith for little practical gain.

More likely might me the airlines not taking California licenses as ID. Today I had my teeth cleaned at an office on K Street. They took my driver's license as ID to let me in the building. Perhaps people with Cal licenses won't be able to get their teeth cleaned. <g>
