Bush and Enron were best buddies in bed together for a decade or more. Bush's largest contributor. In fact the largest-ever contributor of any corporation to a politician. Ken Lay let Bush run campaign operations out of Enron HQ and fly free on Enron private jets. He hired religious right operatives as "energy consultants". He was in line for Secretary Of Treasury but turned it down. Bush wanted him. The Enron deregulation scheme was forefront in the plans of Bush-Cheney. They wanted hands-off the energy industry worldwide. That was their msater scheme. So they could gouge any time they wanted to. No coincidence Bush-Cheney never said a disparaging word about the 100 billion in energy ripoiffs during the election and after they came into power? No coincidence. They approved of it and used it to their advantage. Millions of that money came back to them in campaign contributions. Their chief counsel James Baker was also the energy cabal's chief counsel not to mention Carlyle Group's. Don't make a joke out of yourself trying to claim Bush-Enron-Cheney were not very-very close and that their intent was to attack Clinton-Gore-Davis-consumers-US government controls. Ed Gillespie, that professional smarmy liar, Bush's current RNC head was Enron's top lobbyist and was in charge of the 7 million TV disinformation campaign trying to blame the energy ripoffs on Democrats. It was all 100% lies and paid for by gouged money. The crooks got away with it THANKS to the new administration. Ken Lay and Skilling still walk free. Dont hold your breath that they'll ever been indicted by this administration. They know way too much. If the real story ever comes out you'll learn it was all deliberate and in collusion with the Bush campaign, the October Surprise and the biggest-ever ripoff in US history. it is also at the roots of the California recall, the coup de grace after they used the crisis to weaken Grey Davis and the California Democratic stronghold.
