I read that Bush's speech was greeted with "tepid, almost perfunctory applause" while "there was enthusiastic reaction to those speeches in the General Assembly hall" washingtonpost.com

ignoring a recent finding of the U.S. intelligence community that the main, and most rapidly growing, threat these days comes from ordinary Iraqis, resentful of the occupation.

A threat...not a reality and one which will dissapate as the holdouts are dealt with...and the humanitarian situation improves....
