Rubin was not involved with Enron personally. He took over their broker's company (Merrill?) after he left office. By then all the shenanigans had been done. The energy crisis only lasted until May 2001 when Jeffords switched parties. Rubin had nothing to do with any of that. The shredding, etc. as all Enron and Arthur Anderson.

The GOP is desperate to deflect Enron's crimes away from Ken Lay's best friend Bush so they stretch to find any Democrat remotely connected. It's really stove calling the kettle black situation.
