As I mentioned previously, there are many sites dedicated to attacking the petition site. Believe what you wish John, the entire issue bores the hell out of me anyway...

The simple fact is the scientific community is split on whether Global Warming is happening, whether it is dangerous if it is, and whether man has anything to do with it. More research is needed. I would definitely be in favor of spending more for NASA to look into the issue.

The problem is the religion known as pantheism and those who follow it, have already made up their mind that man is evil and negatively effecting the worlds climate.

Maybe the groups had a split...Michael just said as much I see, and certainly agree with. Too bad that records weren't taken 10,000 years ago so that we could know which groups were, and are correct.

I did note that you got in the little dig about the Moonies (religion bashing??? or just conservative bashing?) Looks like this group is now affiliated with GMU as you mentioned.

How is GMU conservative? How does Yale compare? And Harvard?

Startup funding and office space were provided by the Washington Institute for Values in Public Policy, an think-tank created by the Unification Church.

SEPP accepted a one-year donation of office space from the Washington Institute for Values in Public Policy, a now-defunct think tank affiliated with Rev. Sun Myung Moon's Unification Church. [3] SEPP has subsequently dissociated itself from the Washington Institute, strengthening its links with the conservative Virginia-based George Mason University. In 1998, SEPP received a $10,000 donation from ExxonMobil [4].
