I believe I heard the answer from my wife. Schick's new lady's product is convenient. Shaving cream released right in the cartridge for the same price as Venus. Gillette sells shaving cream. To the best of my knowledge,Schick does not. I know they did when they were part of Pfizer. The Lemmings division sold shaving cream. I'm sure it will cut into Gillette's share of the lady's market. Oral care is Gillette's bright spot. They have also sold off some unrelated business. The blade business however is their bread and butter. When they bought Duracell. I felt they way overpaid. It's all about marketing and P & G knows how to market. I see P & G being interested because of Gillette's market weakness. The Gillette brand name is powerful and has the market share P & G likes. Gillette has announced a stock buy back.
