. . . just as the left totalitarian wannabes are a small fraction of the left. There are definitely some there. I speak from some experience. But my experience is similar to yours. They are a "small fraction." I also have a similar SI to real life experience. I'm, obviously, classified as "left" here, whatever that means, but have been considered much too moderate by my "left" friends. I'm not particularly bothered by that but am bothered by the ideological hardliners of left and right. Just a waste of time. Except for the ones who have real power. And there are several on the right who do so now.
