Bush also said that Iraq was linked to al Qaeda - but you are correct, there is no direct link between Iraq and 9/11. Was there a direct link between the Taliban and 9/11? Once again, the United States was attacked on 9/11 because of its policy regarding Iraq: Enforcing no-fly zones and UN Sanctions with U.S. troops stationed in Saudi Arabia. These are the primary reasons that Bin Laden has always given, for his war against the United States.
