When the CIA, Mossad, and the <former> KGB appear to agree on some information (no one is saying what the Saudi's know)... then that sounds like a pretty good bet. What... you don't think that Saddam's henchmen ever fed any fundamentalist Islamists into his shredding machines? As paranoid as he was about all threats to his power? You don't think that al Qaeda (being tightly wound-up in a Whabbist vision of fundamentalist Sunni Theocracies taking over all the Islamic countries) ever targeted the only secular government in the Islamic Middle East? Especially since, all they'd have to do is kill the Dictator on top (so much easier to take over a Dictatorship than a Democracy) to advance toward their goal of a radical Islamic Theocracy.... Especially with all of the fatwas that have been issued over the years calling for Saddam's death.... You don't get out much, do you, JL?
