Bush constantly exaggerated dangers of Saddam's WMD. He lied about the mobile labs saying "We found them!" He lied about Saddam's nuclear program being 1 year away from being able to nuke us. He lied about Saddam and Al Qaida. And he had all his surrogates parroting the lies.

Quit playing games with your "imminent threat" exact quote. Is this the only type of argument you guys have today? If so, then I'll give you one, Gore never said he invented the internet, and Clinton never said he didn't have sex with Monica. Check out the exact quotes and see the wriggle room. Bush usually allows himself some wriggle room with his lies, so technically they cannot absolutely be called lies ""British intelligence tells us Iraq has sought uranium from Niger" (so blame the lie on them), but right before the war he didn't hold back. He went for the big clear definite lie ("mushroom cloud within 1 year") and that was "real evidence" we had to rush to war right away without anything close to a broad coalition or post-war plan. That was another big lie, that we had a real coalition. Except for the Brits picking up 5% turns out we had a few Poles and a few Bulgarians. Great diplomacy GW.
