Xybernaut Granted European Patent for Mobile Computer Friday September 26, 10:15 am ET Patent Protection Further Expands International Leadership in Wearable Computing FAIRFAX, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 26, 2003--Xybernaut® Corporation (NASDAQ:XYBR - News) today announced that the company has been granted a new patent by the European Patent Organization (EPO). The patent has been granted as European Patent No. 0 962 853 and corresponds to one of the Company's basic U.S. patents No. 6,304,459 of the same title -- "Mobile Computer." This newest patent grant identifies a body worn mobile computer that is activated using speech, eye, and/or brain activation and having an attachment mechanism to attach the device to the user. The computer is of a configuration having 6 sides (top, bottom, front, back and sides) whereby a portion of the computer adjacent to the user is constructed of a heat insulating material.
