When I first saw "Why Did Ancient Britons Stop Eating Fish?", my response was because the chips were still in the Andes. However news.nationalgeographic.com Note the great set of links at the bottom. I especially enjoyed "When Did "Modern" Behavior Emerge in Humans?" news.nationalgeographic.com Although, with reports that modern humans arrived in Australia ~ 50,000 years ago, I believe their timing is off. I am currently subscribing to the thesis that a gradual evolution for better communication was occurring in Africa during the period 130,000 to 80,000 years ago - as a result of severe drought conditions. And that the "best" of this evolution was strongly selected for in the climatic upheaval associated with the Toba event. Just a "pet idea". lurqer
