"When Did "Modern" Behavior Emerge in Humans?"

news.nationalgeographic.com

Although, with reports that modern humans arrived in Australia ~ 50,000 years ago, I believe their timing is off. I am currently subscribing to the thesis that a gradual evolution for better communication was occurring in Africa during the period 130,000 to 80,000 years ago - as a result of severe drought conditions. And that the "best" of this evolution was strongly selected for in the climatic upheaval associated with the Toba event.

Just a "pet idea".
