"The most important aspect of what they do in many places is compete with Wahhabist/Deobandist Islamist ideologists who, once they hit a certain critical mass, bring in the hard men and the guns. As far as I'm concerned, the more conversions these Christians obtain, the better."

That makes it hard to tell the Arabs that it's NOT a religious duel to the death between Islam and Christianity. I can't stand any religions or any missionaries- but I at least despise them all equally. You, on the other hand, favor one of the God teams. I think a world without such teams would be a better place.

Wahhabist/Deobandist Islamist ideologists

Cool, four ists in a row. Almost like the dyslexic agnostic insomniac. You coulda easily thrown in a "fascist" there, cranked it up to 5 without affecting the information quotient a bit.

Personally I find the neocon ideologists more of a proximate threat to the national interest these days, but that's just me. They sure know how to bust a budget, if nothing else.
