Saw a big drop in the Rydex Nova/Ursa ratio yesterday; the biggest one day jump I have seen in many weeks. It seems a lot of people got bearish yesterday..maybe too many for much significant downside from here.

Nova/Ursa was by far the most reliable indicator I had seen in the past few weeks (often did not trade with it, unfortunately).
Lets see if it continues to be reliable...market resuming higher within a day or so. The ratio has moved with about the 0.13 to 0.26 range over the past few weeks.

We may have in fact seen the "October lows" as an intraday
low on October 1st - SPX 995 with the closing low on
September 30th SPX 995 (intraday low SPX 990).

We tested SPX 990 - 995 area four straight days and held.

This trade has now changed for me from a counter-trend
short term trade to a potential intermediate term trend
trade that may last well into the latter part of October
or as late as into November.

I am heading out to Happy Valley to visit Hightecheast
where the Badgers will spank Paterno and his spiraling
Nittany Lions this Saturday.

See you soon Ken.

Rydex. Switch.

I locked in my gains in both SPX Long Nova and Titan Funds
in the Regular and Dynamic Series.

A short term trade from SPX Cash 1003 close on Sep 25.

Now 100% Short in Dynamic Series only.

This switch may last only 1 day to as long
as 7 trading days.

Dynamic Series: 100% Short NDX Venture Fund
Regular Series: 100% Money Market
