Sorry but the atom was not discovered until Jefferson was long gone. So to see Jefferson supposedly refer to the atom in his letter shows he did not and could not have written it.

Well I guess that theory is shot down. Atomic theory was around in 1808. That's a surprise. They didn't map the structure of an atom until the 1900's.
