Hi,
Once Si's searching facility equals that of iHub's current,
it will give this Si a 10,000 volts of hair standing up like
those pictures of a girl with long hair touching high voltage
and near zero current flow.

Its a bad comparison, but think of BobZ the Code Monkey
as Bob Brain Surgen and having your gray matter exposed
while you is awake ok since no nerve cells there, and you
mention to BBS that your nose itches and you can't reach
up and scratch, so would he stop what he is doing and...

:o)

For reasons I'm still trying to determine, nearly all of the machines rebooted a couple of days ago. Possibly ongoing power problems at the ISP, even though I've shut down the new db server temporarily, which has a healthy appetite for electrons.

When the machines reboot, that always causes problems because the message database takes the longest to boot, but it has to be alive before the other machines boot.

This time, though, the box that handles search requests was not up at all. I don't know if it was off or just dead.

In any event, it's running again, and last I checked it was caught up to about 6:30 PM on 9/23. It'll be completely caught up shortly.

I would've caught it sooner (and been more frustrated at attempts to reach ISP people to fix the problem), but was out of town Saturday evening and all day Sunday (riding real fast in Ford Lightnings on the racetrack, and driving a few of them) and except for one possible weekend in a few weeks, I'm at the end of the season, so I'll be back to working weekends again soon.
