Another sign of the renaissance of the Republican party. Contrast that with Bobdole's mumbling (Bobdole never did ANYTHING but mumble) to Rush in 1996 that the hugely successful Reagan tax cut "wasn't our fault"...

If Bush kept his word on the 10% bracket, it is certainly one of the few areas where that happened. Broken promises include his promises on patient bill of rights, medicare prescription drug benefit, social security lock box, a short and temporary budget deficit. Of course, there are also statements about weapons of mass destruction and a grave and gathering danger in Iraq etc.
