Bob Stovall. who used to go on Rukeyser, would talk about his "competitive hedge" idea. You would go short AMD and long an equivalent amount of intel. I think that would at least let me get some sleep. :^) Will

AMD is the talk of the town where I live. I think AMD is going to start to take share from Intel. Linux is coming and the preferred configuration for Linux is an AMD chip, not intel. I hear what you are saying about the Fab problem and I am blissfully ignorant of that issue, not having real knowledge of the economics of fabs vs. a fabless model. But I know that every other time a bunch of dispirate companies got behind some technology shift, it becomes a force just based on that momentum alone. Either way the AMD momentum is good for the industry overall.
