Note that the Auntie does not profess either religious grounds nor cogent philosophical grounds for her practice.

Jewel explicitly denied religious grounds for Mojo. He declined to go for the religious exemption I offered and said that Mojo wasn't a religious fellow. He explicitly denied the cultural grounds as well, although I think an Islamic tradition was a reasonable assumption on my part given that the guy's name is Mohammed. Philosophical ground--like "avoiding sexually charged situations?" That's significantly sounder than Auntie's claim that ties and high heels cause crankiness and trigger social discord?

I merely observe that it seems unduly provocative and therefore rude for Auntie not to at least wear "casual chic", which I cannot believe would have caused such consternation........

Turning away a client because of that individual's group identity is less provocative than casual clothing at a wedding?
