VIX is actually down today. (New VIX that is).

I assume everyone saw the Marc Hulbert article this week that said that the new vix and old vix are pretty much the same -- when it spikes high, it's good at predicting tops; when it moves low, the old vix, like the new vix, is NOT good at predicting trend changes.
