Frankly, Iraq was more feudal than secular. Further, as Syria was governed by the Baath Party (just as Iraq was), your claim is obviously false.

Pol Pot had a secular government as well as Iraq - I guess that made him a good guy in your eyes too (just like Saddam). A secular foreign government invaded Cambodia and got rid of Pol Pot, you against that action too?
