consider this 50 dma -- see how it holds during the "rising periods" but gets violated quite deeply during consolidations -- but which are we in -- a longer term consolidation or a correction in a bigger rise -- stay tuned.

also from the same chart -- technically speaking -- the rally into June of 02 was clearly more extreme -- climactic ... just some thoughts from the peanut gallery.
