just a comment, relating an email exchange with a certain German former banker I know
he has a concern about banking intermediaries and their effect on money supply via credit creation

what has also increased in recent months is ads for dealing with debt, bankruptcy, and bill consolidation counsel
utterly absurd, a severe signal of end stages

Mein Herr,
it was good to talk to you
our intermediary banks are 100% out of control
debt for mortgages, home repairs, cars, furniture, consumer electronics, and much more

we Americans are assaulted on a daily basis by advertisements to extend debt !!!
it is far worse than just "annoying"
it is a daily assault, on radio, on television, in newspapers, in journals, in local pamphlets, on billboards, on storefronts, from door-to-door vendors, from those passing leaflets on promenade walkways, everywhere

we are lured with offers of 0% rates, of no down payments (even for some houses), of delayed payments until next year
it has become a circus

my joke is that they appeal to us to buy something we dont want or need, built by someone who is not American, with money we dont have, using credit supplied by Asians, all with no purpose except excessive consumption

/ jim
