You know my style. Simple really. If ya trade, pick 4 stocks, doesn't really matter much which, you're just playing swings. Learn them like the back of your hand. Watch them every day, and have 2 or 3 others waiting on the radar screen ready to go. Stay focues on only a select few.

Get your plan.
Find what works for you, trading wise.
Then stick with it.
Have the discipline to execute the plan.
And patience.

Lont term, pick about 15 big horses, the turtles, those slow moving laggards, on the big board, and maybe 3 or 4 on the Naz. Dollar cost average them at regular intervals and forget them, basically. Hold them for years. Let them build. Sell CC's against them. Dips, buy some leaps at times.
