The Bushie PR machine is very powerful and clever. Despite all the evidence against them, they manage to influence and intimidate the media to supress the worst of it. They also have an army of dittoheads willing to spread their disinformation. Much more so that than the liberal democrats who aren't nearly as well organized or funded.

For instance, now they are orchestrating a campaign (partly paid for my taxpayer money) to show the lighter more successful side of Iraq. It will blame critics of the post-war for being somehow traitorous and blame them for our troops' death.

Although it doesn't make any sense, it works on many gullible people. But just talk to anyone unbiased who's been to Iraq. The place is out of control. Only 10% of the country is even under control. We need lots of help and we are not getting it. It may take years to pacify the place and in the meantime, how many troops of ours will die? How many hundreds of billions will be spent?

Bushies want that 87 billion now. Then more. Some of it which they will slip into their own pockets vis Halliburton, Bectel, defense contractors and oil companies. But it's time to start asking serious questions and auditing their books. Protect our troops, yes, but feed the Bushie machine, no. Not with public money.
