RNC's new campaign is to denigrate Kerry and Clark despite their war heroics and lifetimes of public service. To do this, they must confuse the public and distort records, mainly going after the Silver Stars and other medals themselves, minimizing them and poo-poo'ing any real heroism. The message, the GOP is the military party and no Democrat could possibly be a real patriot. Also, to cover up the fact that all right-wing leaders avoided combat, including Bush and Cheney.
