I recall reading an article about Jindal when Bush selected him as the Assistant Secretary. I remember thinking that I would probably be hearing more about him in the future but I didn't think it would be so soon. He had fallen off of my radar screen until I stumbled across that article. I will now be paying close attention to the primary and the subsequent election.

Nice to hear that his Republican ribs are "rock-ribbed." He is a welcome breath of fresh air for the party. The name escapes me, but I seem to recall that a recent president had previously been elected governor of a small southern state at a very early age. <gg>

BTW, thanks for adding the personal comments about him. It adds some humanity to the profile.

Thanks for the heads-up about Jindal...looks like a super young and smart man...I like his health care platform, including allowing individuals and small business to pool their resources to enable them to get better and less costly medical insurance than they can currently! Every State would be wise indeed to institute such a plan.

McKinsey usually only hires VERY smart people.

Too bad he isn't from WA State...These folks here could certainly stand to have some good Republican candidates!
