You're right, sometimes they are forced to confess, but only as sheer political damage control, in this case because they know they lied and that no Al Qaida connection with Saddam has ever been established, nor ever will be, since thre was none. That is one area area where they clearly lied on shows like Meet The Press. The other is saying Saddam was within one year of having a nuke he could use on us.
