Ouch! So far no solicitor has discovered my cell phone number so I have some respite.

As far as the first amendment goes, I tend to think of it in the same vein as the proverbial punch--someone's right to throw a punch ends at my nose. Likewise, someone's right to free speech ends at the ringer on my phone. After that, free speech turns into noise pollution.

Thanks for the welcome.

Karen

Speaking of free speech...If some rings your doorbell at 2 AM, and just says they want to talk, I certainly would see that as an intrusion on my privacy. My dog might too...and I don't mean just the Papillon.
