Re: Oh. Raymond? I've made cell phone calls at 39,000 feet. From a jet. It works.

And I've had my phone go out of service at 8,000 in the Cascades.

I've checked with one SI member who is employed on several continents installing cellular systems. I inquired about the shaping of the cellular signal from the towers. He assures me that antennae are designed so that their signal is shaped to direct most of their power toward the horizon, and not to the stars. Basically, he stated the opposite of what you have. His conclusion is that cellular communication at high altitude is a very iffy proposition.

So who am I to believe? A technical expert or an ideologue?

So far, all you've provided in your last two posts is a whole lot of shouting, a whole lot of denial, a whole lot of editorial swagger and absolutely no proof whatsoever that contradicts the Cessna tests that were conducted at the Ontario airport.

Re: Here's a comment I got back when I copied this post to a pilot's message board:

I certainly agree with you that the Heikkala speculation is wild. I don't accept it. What I posted was not indicative of my beliefs, but rather was simply a matter of passing on something that came to my attention today. Can you explain why you appear to be so adamant at denying that the government has lied to us?

Clearly, the Bush team has been exposed as blatant liars. WMDs are the prime example. But Condy Rice's whopper about not having any idea that planes could be used as missiles ranks right up there as well. There is a pattern of deception to the Bush team that lead naturally to skepticism about the official account of 9/11. The mere fact that Bush et al exerted tremendous effort to cover-up and prevent any blue ribbon or Congressional investigation into the events surrounding 9/11 is in itself a huge red flag.
